Hotel is very new with all modern facilities. Rooms are quite spacious and value for money. Staff are very cooperative and helpful.

The location and the cleanliness

Eastern gate homestay is a wonderful accommodation. The rooms are great value for money, including all facilities similar to a hotel. Comfortable mattress, big bed and clean facilities. The family also serves hygeinic food whenever requested. You can have hygienic food, local bundeli home food that is light and tasty. Meals made with unprocessed ingredients and tomatoes right from their garden. The family also arranges local e-rickshaws, autos, and cars for sightseing whenever requested at right rates. Dulhadev temple is just at a walking distance, and so is eastern group of temples. Western group is just 7 minute rickshaw ride away. It is a safe location, as we were all female travellers. Good value for money, stay to support local families and have enjoy the warm hospitable interaction with them

An authentic homestay experience, a warm welcome by the whole family, Mama's excellent cooking, and a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom, in a rural farmhouse within walking distance to the temple complex, made this the perfect setting for enjoying the slow pace of Khajuraho and learning about its rich history.

This place is a gem. If you want an authentic homestay experience and go beyond what the guidebooks tell you about, look no further. The family is so nice and welcoming. Naeem took me to so many interesting and beautiful spots around Khajuraho with his tuktuk and motorcycle : waterfalls, canyon, villages, sunset viewpoints… Everything was great. Khajuraho feels like a welcoming breath of fresh air after being in a few big cities. I saw a different side of India, quieter, slower… So many beautiful and scenic spots, surrounded by lush nature. Fascinating to get a glimpse of the rural way of living. Nassim also booked my ticket for Panna national park where I got to see the mighty tigers up close. Unbelievable! Whenever you need a ride, Naeem will take you. And Rosie (sorry im butchering the name) cooks lovely food. This place is the best. Whatever you need, they will organize for you. Highly recommend! You will feel right at home.

Best place we've stayed in India! Everything is clean! Like actually clean! And so comfortable! The rooms are spacious and have natural light, but are also fresh and cool inside even when it's hot outside. Screens on all the windows so we never had problems with mosquitoes. Very quiet and peaceful. The sunsets and stars are magical from the rooftop, and you can watch the local kids playing cricket. The garden is pleasant and we had fresh papayas from the tree. We were allowed to use the kitchen anytime we needed, and the homestay also offers delicious food at good prices. The wifi is good: electricity does cut out pretty frequently everywhere in Khajuraho but it generally comes back within a minute or two, and there is good cellphone reception at Prems Homestay so you can back up with data if you're a digital nomad and need to work. The area is about 15 minutes walk from the main road, a pleasant stroll past wheat fields and water buffalos and friendly children all saying hello. It's like stepping into the past, where everything is simple and kind and safe. You can also easily get rickshaws to pick you up if you don't want to walk. The value for money is fantastic, totally worth staying here even if it's a few minutes farther from town. Prems Homestay has two buildings and a range of rooms with different prices. We stayed in the cheapest one and even that was absolutely perfect. We spent 12 days and could happily have stayed more. Mr. Neeraj and Mr. Manu were so attentive and helpful, by the time we left they felt like friends. They cleaned every day, made sure we had everything we needed, and were also super respectful and chill, so I would have felt perfectly comfortable and safe even as a solo female. Mr. Neeraj speaks perfect English and can answer any questions. They were also kind enough to let us do early check-in and late check-out, and even helped us buy our train tickets. 1000% recommend.
