The River Loom is a fantastic place beautifully set in nature, immediately on a river bank and a stone throw away from the beach. The room was nicely decorated and had everything needed for a short stay. We particularly loved the garden and the terrace with all its beautiful plants! The host and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! We came as guests and left as friends :-). Absolutely recommendable without reservations!

I had an amazing stay at LaCasa The Honestay ! Ashok and his wife welcomed me down warm, they prepared each morning breakfast for me, what I really didn’t expected ! I felt like coming home to my parents, except that the gave me my privacy 😁 what I also liked is a high speed internet😁 if you wanna have a chill stay with your room + a living room what I enjoyed so much + roof where you can see sunset + a very kind hosts who will serve you homemade breakfast , that’s your place! Where to start this review - so much I want to say ! We had a fabulous time at the lovely home of Senthil and his wife Aswathy. Our bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the common living space and kitchen outside our room were absolutely spotless , as were the sheets and towels . It was like walking into an oasis of peace and calm. There is only one other bedroom on our floor and one downstairs on the ground floor . The house is in a lovely quiet area surrounded by trees and is a great location from which to explore further afield by car (Senthil can organise a driver and itinerary for you) or locally by a short tuk tuk ride. We used Uber tuk tuks as they were easy and cheaper than others. Senthil and Aswathy could not have been any kinder or more helpful. Communication from the start was excellent. We kept messing around the dates of our booking and Senthil was extremely patient and accommodating. We came for 3 nights and stayed for 4 as there is so much to see and we didn’t really want to leave. Highlights were the temples, palaces and a day of treatment at the authentic Mitra Ayurvedic Hospital! Senthil managed to get us an appointment for the next day but I would advise asking him to book it for you as soon as you know your dates so you don’t miss out. Aswathy provided the most delicious authentic home cooked meals on request using only the freshest ingredients. We had 3 breakfasts, an incredible lunch and 3 dinners during our stay. All were delicious and the importance of food culture was explained at each meal. We noticed some reviews mentioned the sound of the planes overhead (as this whole area is quite near the airport) and we heard a few, some nights more than others, but it honestly didn’t bother or disturb us at all. We sleep with earplugs anyway. I don’t think they go all night but not sure as we were asleep! We can’t fault this homestay and will be recommending it to our family and friends. We hope to come back soon.
