It was right on the backwater. Great views, so relaxing. Getting there does require you to walk the last 200 metres or call them and they’ll pick you up boat for that bit, if you come by vehicle. It’s on the government boat (ferry) route to so you can catch a boat to and from town for 14 rupees, which is such a lovely relaxing journey. The owner and particularly the hosts were so lovely and accommodating.

The minute I entered the house, I felt so welcome. The family made me feel at ease straight away. It was so nice being able to chat with them to get to know more about their lives, which was what I was looking for. They are so attentive and will send you lots of info not only about the great authentic tours they can organise but also recommended places to see around and restaurants. I did the sunrise kayak and that was such a wonderful experience. I decided it quite late and the ferry was leaving 5 minutes later, no problem! A quick call to make the ferry wait and in less than 10 minutes and a very short moto ride away and I was inside and someone from the ferry was there to tell me where to stop. I took the ferry back around 19:00 and the person who did the kayak messaged the hosts to let them know I took the ferry. I felt so well looked after. The place itself is very nice, large room and bathroom and the best is the terrace overlooking the canal where you can see life goes by. The homestay is on the village side with gorgeous rice fields. They encouraged me to walk around and that was great. The breakfast was also delicious. If you want to have an authentic stay, don't hesitate, this lovely family will take care of you.

Everything. Especially the excellent host Susan, the cleanliness, food, hospitality. A.C. worked fine. the geyser was a plus. We had a family room. It was sufficient for all four of us. Breakfast provided was in abundance. Extremely well cooked home food❤️ We would recommend this place to all fellow travelers. Susan, Amal, and the staff, thank you . The hosting family was very welcoming and we were feeling directly almost part of their family. The rooms are clean and good, located 20m to the beach. The breakfast and especially the dinner were delicious! We were doing Yoga by a teacher in the morning on the Terrasse.
