The minute I entered the house, I felt so welcome. The family made me feel at ease straight away. It was so nice being able to chat with them to get to know more about their lives, which was what I was looking for. They are so attentive and will send you lots of info not only about the great authentic tours they can organise but also recommended places to see around and restaurants. I did the sunrise kayak and that was such a wonderful experience. I decided it quite late and the ferry was leaving 5 minutes later, no problem! A quick call to make the ferry wait and in less than 10 minutes and a very short moto ride away and I was inside and someone from the ferry was there to tell me where to stop. I took the ferry back around 19:00 and the person who did the kayak messaged the hosts to let them know I took the ferry. I felt so well looked after. The place itself is very nice, large room and bathroom and the best is the terrace overlooking the canal where you can see life goes by. The homestay is on the village side with gorgeous rice fields. They encouraged me to walk around and that was great. The breakfast was also delicious. If you want to have an authentic stay, don't hesitate, this lovely family will take care of you.

Everything. Especially the excellent host Susan, the cleanliness, food, hospitality. A.C. worked fine. the geyser was a plus. We had a family room. It was sufficient for all four of us. Breakfast provided was in abundance. Extremely well cooked home food❤️ We would recommend this place to all fellow travelers. Susan, Amal, and the staff, thank you . We had the pleasure of staying at an excellent beachfront house. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding - our luggage was promptly carried up, and the overall cleanliness was impeccable. The highlight was undoubtedly the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views. Additionally, an entire floor dedicated to breakfast with comfortable seating arrangements added to the charm of our stay. The host was exceptionally friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The location couldn't have been better; it was incredibly convenient. We appreciated the ease of parking our scooter right outside the gate, and the reliable Wi-Fi was a bonus.

    Loved staying at Kalappura homestay! Jose and his family were great hosts. The room was super comfortable, with a very soft bed and a hot shower! There is a nice common area and the location is great. Jose also helped us with booking the boat tour Fientje backwaters.     We had a wonderful time at the Venitia homestay. The place is so close to the beach, the host family is unbelievably welcoming and nice and the food was great.

    The host family was so welcoming and kind. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They helped us with trip bookings, tuk tuks, and laundry. The breakfast were big feasts! The host made different local dishes each morning. The home stay was in a quiet area, not far from the beach and a few restaurants. The room and living area was really clean - one of the cleanest rooms we've had so far on our trip in India.

    The hosts Albert and Sunitha are extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are a warm family who are great hosts. Sunitha is a great chef who makes customised authentic kerelan meals for all 3 meals a day! Another guest celebrated their wedding anniversary there and the host family went above and beyond with decorations and cake! The room was clean. The homestay is right on the beach with great sunset views. We stayed at hotels during our trip but the experience and service here was far better!
