Good location, several OK restaurants nearby. Beware of the junk food outlets. Walking is feasible in Magelang! Little side streets are peaceful. Not that there is much to see or do here, but two jumbo volcanoes loom nearby and can be visited. Rooms are clean but on the bleak side. Bathroom basic. Efficient new AC. Slept well. McDonald's close but Coffeeville down the road is much nicer.

My stay at Maher house was an amazing experience. The location is walking distance from Borobudur, a literal 1O minutes. And, in the same area there is a whole street of stores and places to buy food. Maher house is located in the village, which is great because you get to enjoy village life and maybe interact with the friendly locals. Plus, there’s a lot of cool chickens walking around. Maher house was very clean, and it had a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was made fresh and it was delicious! Yusuf and his wife were great hosts, their main objective is for their guests to be comfortable. Thanks again!

The bungalows are absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable for the concept. The bed and aircon will assure a great night sleep and the pool is small but absolutely beautiful (the views are amazing!!). The whole place is decorated beautifully and it really feels like a little piece of paradise. Bobby (the host) is sweet and very attentive and made us a beautiful floating breakfast the first morning we were there - an amazing experience. The sorrounding landscape and villages are just stunning too. I wished we had stayed longer!

Excellent location in the rice fields and great atmosphere in the garden to hake dinner by the pool or just chill. One of the best meals we had in our trip. Don’t be afraid of frogs and geckos and other animal sounds, it’s the same everywhere in indonesia close to nature.

This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately I happened to be the only guest during my one night stay. There is well functioning air conditioning and the toilets are really clean and spacious. The beds are really well designed and come with individual lockers, small table, socket and personal lamp. The hostel is located right opposite the entrance of Borobodour, and the staff have useful budget transport advice.
