Homestays in Pulau Saonek-kecil

Place was clean and close to the harbour. Nice bed and pillows.

We felt very welcome at Husna's homestay and it was a very nice experience. Food was nice and the local tips and advice was very good. I also really enjoyed seeing the Wilson Bird of Paradise during my stay, it was also a great experience. Highly recommend this place when staying in Waisai.

The vicinity to everything and they rent scooter

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! We had amazing stay, staying in water bungalow with hammock with natural swimming pool which ocean view is just another postcard from last paradise. 2 Toilettes are always cleaned and separated from the room which we preferred. Snorkelling point just by the jetty with loads of tropical colourful fishes, food is simple but delicious and generous with also varied and adapting to western tastes. Nearby there are 2 diveshops Just 1h boat ride from Wasai, Pak Yulianus picked us up from the port and offered excursion to Piaynemo, Manta View, Teluk Bintang, Rufas and Arborek with very reasonable price During low tide you can walk to nearby village Yenbuba and return got picked up by boat We were really looked after and handled with care.Very elegant people the whole family.we were extremely grateful by their kindness and mostly hospitality They are all playing the game went above and beyond to make our stay memorable Terima kasih Firdas Homestay and God Bless You

The homestay is really nice! It’s by the beach and you have lots of corals just in front. The food is excellent :) The family is very welcoming and nice I highly recommend :)

Oh was so beautiful with seashell decorations around all the place. Food was really good, served on cuty plates very tasty and big portions. But the best was family. Extremely friendly, smiley, giving you real experience how is to live here, on water. Felt like fairy tales. Looooove it! Would love to go back😍
