Very calm place, hipi style. You can feel like in the jungle. Fantastic coffee and very nice food in the bar. There is also gallery on site. Staff is great. Location bit far from the center so you need to have your own transport.

Omah Guyub is the best place for staying in a traditional house and natural, eco and budget friendly enviroment,but also close to the city fascilities. The charming, simply wooden houses with all their little details tell about javanese philosophy. Andy is a great host and friend, an amazing musician as well. You can ask him about anything, he has a lot of connections with the local communities and happy to assist you with any kind of request of yours. You can cook with him and his community, sing together your songs, or listen to stories about javanese wisdom. A real local experience for those,who want to dig deaper in the cultural layers, or those who want to experience the joyfulness of the every day life of art communities in South Jogjakarta. The woman who worked there was extremely nice to us,she helped us arrange different types of activities and she was just so kind. They also helped us with renting scooters for 2 days which we found amazing to drive. The breakfast was very cheap and pretty tasty. The rooms were clean and the A/C worked good.

Terrace was beautiful (note that this was this specific room, maybe not all are the same), as well as the spot / swiming pool (very green, just like the photos). The staff were amazing. The hospitality of staff in Indonesia is amazing. Little things like when we left, one of the staff offered to fill my kids water bottles for the journey without prompting. Very caring. Or after the kids had been swimming they offered us a drying rack without prompting. Breakfast for the kids was great; either omlette, toast or pancakes. Cereal was available 24/7. The pool was available 24/7, with lighting overnight. Honestly amazing hotel and staff, so great value too. They were very accomodating with us on our check out day even though they were fully booked that night.
