We stayed in the winter for ski touring. The room was clean and warm. The location was great, we could start touring right from the door. The food is amazing, it was nice to have a big warm meal when we got back from our adventures.

A very beautiful, old historic house that they have taken so much care of. You can understand that people love this small guesthouse and give their best to their guests! The decoration is amazing, keeping all the traditional elements of the region. Very clean, warm, comfortable beds with nice linens and good bathroom. The people that run this place are beautiful and very helpful, they made our stay in Ushguli comfortable and a great experience. We loved it!

It was the second time when we stayed at Mshvidoba, and everything was great. Although we were a big group (8 people) we fit in comfortably. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly, as last time.

The guest and her family are very attentive. Nice view. Well located. Breakfast is varied and plenty, she even let me take some leftovers for lunch and shared some with a young couple that were short of cash as well. Cash is king in a land of no ATMs, bring sufficient. At the end Jason Statham look alike dude drove me back to Mestia while the stereo played svan tunes.

I travel a lot, but such a family and friendly atmosphere is very rare in family hotels. We spent the whole day looking for a hotel and settled on Babi & Tata's House. 1) It was in Ushguli 2) It was inexpensive and our budget allowed it 3) And it looked very cozy. And we weren't wrong! Unlike new buildings made according to European standards, it was actually built on the foundations of ancient towers. Animals graze below. Nearby, 20 meters - there is a river. The beds are very soft and comfortable. We came for 1 night but stayed for 4! The feeling that you arrive at the Black Castle in the Game of Thrones, where the buildings are over 1000 years old. The hotel is very new, we were the second guests here, we really liked that it is not noisy here. There is hot water in the shower, although in the capital, Tbilisi, it is not always available. It turned out that Babi and Tata are teenage girls. They opened a family hotel with their mother Mzea. They speak excellent English! In addition, they took great care of us. Believe me, this is a big difference when compared with European hotels. Breakfast and dinner were very plentiful and delicious! It was a real holiday! There are not many hotels in this part of Ushguli yet, and we enjoyed the silence and solitude.
