Anne is a lovely host. We had a lovely room with a sea view and an ensuite bathroom. Wonderful sunset right from our window. She prepared a very good English breakfast and she pays attention to every detail of her guests. Romantic place. We will definitely come back.

Utterly blown away by the attention to detail and lengths gone within the rooms to dater for guests every need. Refreshing to see no expense spared for the sake of comfort. Such an overwhelmingly positive and friendly experience that should I ever return to Torquay then there'd no doubt as to where I'd stay. Bravo from a former hotelier.

Everything was simply perfect: - Your hospitality was overwhelming - we felt welcome and well taken care of from the very beginning. - The breakfast was a highlight every day - delicious, freshly prepared, and with great attention to detail. - Our room was clean, cozy, and exactly what we had imagined. - We were traveling with our children and were given a very warm welcome - thank you for the child-friendly atmosphere! - The hotel's location was ideal - within walking distance to the city center, yet quiet enough to relax. All the kindness and help from Steve and Joseph!! All the extras in our room, including s dressing gown, slippers, lots of snacks, a small bottle of complimentary sparkling wine in our fridge, facecloths, shower cap, etc. Delicious cappuccinos and breakfasts made to order Steve dropped us off at the Harbour restaurants, so we didn't have to find parking on a busy Saturday night. It took us about 25 minutes to walk home, but we could have ordered a taxi Wonderful packed lunch of sandwiches to order, yummy cake, a banana and a naartjie, and a bottle of water for £5. Exceptional value!! The delicious slice of cake each day in our rooms for us to eat (with a list of ingredients used). Carrying our heavy bags into and out of our rooms for us Using their cars to 'book' a parking space for us in the road next to Garway Lodge, as the 3 places inside their grounds were already taken. Extensive number of brochures in the entrance hall and help with planning our days' outings

Great location, close enough to walk to the water & restaurants but far enough away to be quiet. Dolores is a super friendly and helpful proprietor and cooks a plentiful and delicious breakfast, which was enjoyed in the beautifully decorated common area. Bed was comfy, good shower with plenty of hot water and wifi was secure. Overall, an excellent stay and we would return 🙂
