Super location on the Rhone in a converted barge. Luxury decor and exceptionally comfortable beds. I guess we were lucky that our group of 6 was the only bookings that night so it felt like a private party. Kitchen well kitted out with some coffee pods and herbal teas (but no EBT). Great views and within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Good secure parking for our bikes.

Location v rural. Idyllic and quiet. Host very sympathetic to rural living and local produce. Very interesting ideas in sustainable living. This area is very off the beaten track but worth a visit. The route from there to the Rhone Valley was very beautiful. Here you feel in a very timeless France

Breakfast was not provided but there was a kettle and coffee machine. We would have liked a little milk and some English breakfast tea ie black tea, but in France this seems to be a rarity. Otherwise a very comfortable place to stay. It was spacious, clean and interestingly decorated. A very short drive to the old town.

We stayed in Etoille et Moi - the round house located in the grounds. It was very private and beautiful with views over the paddock with the animals grazing. The accomodation was lovely, very clean, with a spacious upstairs bedroom and downstairs kitchen and bathroom. I wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility issues, I am fit and healthy but took a tumble down the steep stairs, please note the bathroom is downstairs. However, I am sure the rooms in the main chateau wouldn't be a problem. It truly is a romantic place and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again. The breakfast was in the main chateau, a good selection and cooked eggs also available. Very friendly hosts.
