Very cute family, they are amazing hosts and they will help you with everything you need. The room is very comfortable, the food is really good. If you are looking for a place with a reasonably price in Lalibela I truly reccomand this place.

Staying at this hotel was a great, peaceful experience for my partner and I. Birhan made us feel welcomed, safe and informed. Organised our trip to see Lalibela Church's and our fantastic guide. We are very appreciative of our stay and would highly recommend staying at this hotel with kind people. Birhan is always there to answer any questions before and during your stay. The hotel itself is beautiful with amazing scenic views of the mountains from your windows. Inside your room you have beautiful handmade furnitures with detail. This hostel is better than most hotel Lalibela I feel like come to very close family friendly asking for may feelin for breakfast or when to change sheets, lovely family with intersting story of life,lovely time I hope to come back

I really enjoyed my stay in the Merkesa Guest House. It is clean, quiet and, most important, it is save. It has a lovely open yard where you can relax in the shadow of trees. The host, Tedy is polite and helps you with any issues and problems. He even borrowed me some money as mine got stolen. He lives with his lovely family aside and is there, when you need him. I absolutely recommend this spot.
