I've only stayed in one place in Sarajevo but I'm still pretty sure that this is the best one there is. I arrived three and a half hours late at 23.30 because the trains were following  balkan time ("this is not Japan" as Faruk pointed out to me) and still Nina and Faruk met me with a really warm welcome and insisted that I joined them in their cozy garden for a beer and a chat. This warm hospitality continued throughout my four night stay and on the last night Nina even cooked a tasty vegetarian meal for me. I've stayed in a lot of places around the world and met some really nice and hospitable hosts but the way Nina and Faruk makes you feel that you're a close friend visiting, and not just a tourist that they need to accommodate because it's their job, is something very special. And on top of that the room I stayed in was really big, nice, comfortable and really good value for the price I payed. If I ever come back to Sarajevo I would definitely choose to stay there again.

The apartment is simple and nice, very clean and spacious, with everything you need for a short (or even a longer) stay. It is the perfect place if you have to get on a bus from Sarajevo East station in the morning... you are literally 30 seconds walk from the bus! Downstairs there's a bakery and little shops to pick up your necessities before a ride. And at walking distance (about 400m) you can hop on the city bus 'troley' in direction of Trg Austrije to get to the downtown. The host is very kind and communicative, and waited for me even if I checked in later at 10pm. Overall is really recommended, I would absolutely stay there again.

We loved the apartment. Very close to the center, easy to find. The host made everything that we feel comfortable. Good instructions to find the place. Very good value for money. Clean. We had an apartment for three people and the space was sufficient. For sure the right choice to stay in Sarajevo.

I had a lovely stay here. The single room was perfect for what I needed - comfy bed, quiet and very clean. The owner is so kind and helped me a lot during my stay. To get in to town is only a 10-15 min walk away down the hill, and there is a small supermarket and bakery nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Guest house Ciro is just a short walk from the old part of Sarajevo. We found the property easily even though we were driving in an unfamiliar city. The hosts were friendly and made us feel very welcome even though we arrived much earlier than expected. The guest house is immaculate and looked even nicer than in the photos we had seen. There was a very adequate shared kitchen to prepare a light meal. The terrace was lovely to sit on in the evening after a busy day of exploring Sarajevo.
