See Kiwi in the Wild – Right Here at this Holiday Park! Russell-Orongo Bay Holiday Park is one of the few places in New Zealand where you can see kiwi in the wild. (Stayed in May, not Feb) Stunning spot! Loved all the birdlife - it was so relaxing sitting on the porch in the sunshine with the birds all around. Super special experience seeing a wild kiwi for the first time. The manager there was the best, and I had so much fun exploring the place with her looking for kiwi! (If you're reading this, I went for a wander to say bye to you but didn't spot you. Thank you for an awesome stay! <3 ) The cabin itself was really comfy, great wee kitchenette too, but the deck overlooking the wetlands was the highlight. I've found a new favourite holiday spot, will be back soon!
