And no noise, only the sounds of nature 😊( in Rantepao the mosk will wake you up early in the morning, or great chance there is a karaoke bar somewhere). Highly recommended!

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. It features a private beach area and a restaurant. The location of the property is the best spot for self snorkelling and they have boat trips for daily snorkel and scuba points with realy good staff and boats are not crowded. This is a family owened bussiness and thanks to Jerry and Wileke they answered all my questions patiently and helped me during our stay. It was very nice listening Jerry's singing with his guitar on the beach. They also have a beautiful large tropical garden.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available.

All units at the holiday park are fitted with a seating area. All units have private entrance. At the holiday park, each unit includes air conditioning and a private bathroom. This place is pretty wonderful and Atmospheric with staggered Villas modern and lovely. The food was delicious and usually made by Nini herself. The Villa sit up on a cliff above the incredibly beautiful Rock scattered Beach. It is not a huge staircase to get down there and I had the beach all to myself, and it was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever had the honor to swim at.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The property has a lot of staircases and may not be suitable for elderly or young children. Cliff side directly to the ocean, amazing

Located in Bunaken, 3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort is only a short distance from beautiful snorkelling and diving spots. It boasts a diving centre, massage services and a tour desk.

Each private cottage comes with a fan and a private balcony which offers views of the surrounding greenery. It features an en suite bathroom, mosquito nets and toiletries. It also has a seating area. I originally only had 4 nights booked at 3WILL Bunaken but stayed for 14 nights! That should actually say enough if you were wondering if you should book! Being a solo female traveler, I'm always a bit cautious, especially traveling to off the beaten track locations, however all my questions were answered promptly and accurately. The transfer arranged by 3WILL from Manado Airport was efficient and definitely worth paying for compared to the irregular schedule of the public boat to the island. 3WILL are also able to do transfers at night, which I originally thought was not possible. The resort is beautifully located right by the seaside and there's a beach on which you can sunbathe or relax in hammocks. You can snorkel the coral reef right in front of the resort or you can join the dive boat to snorkel while the divers are diving. During the day there's large butterflies everywhere in the well maintained garden and at night I was mesmerised by fireflies! Being a divemaster, I was predominantly there for the diving which did not disappoint! Every dive was exciting and filled with an abundance of sealife! They were willing to also arrange a dive trip to Bangka Island which was very nice! I can highly recommend the night dives, as unlike most dive shops, they actually do a boat dive and not just a shore dive! The dive room is well setup with storage for gear and equipment. The dive guides, Jho and Elly were great at pointing out creatures small and large and knew the dive sites extremely well! The boat crew always made sure our gear was ready and served us fruit, biscuits and coffee during surface interval with a smile! The food was well prepared and a good combination of western and Indonesian cuisine, served buffet style, three times a day in the restaurant. They were also happily willing to cater for various dietary requirements. If you’re lucky, the local band might play during dinner which was very entertaining and a highlight of my time there!

Located on Bunaken Island along the Pangalisan Beach, Cakalang Resort offers diving and snorkeling opportunities on-site. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.

Fan-cooled bungalows come with free Wi-Fi and feature garden and sea views. Tea/coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities are available. We had a great time at Cakalang Resort. It's located in a great spot and the owners and staff are amazing! Thanks for having us!

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Enjoying a peaceful location, it has a meditation pavilion and a hiking trail. The food was excellent and the gardens are spectacular

Housed in hill-facing wooden cottages, the basic rooms are all equipped with a satellite TV and mosquito net. Private bathrooms come with running hot and cold water. Some rooms have a minibar and fridge. A fantastic option near Tomohon: a very spacious house with good internet, and the staff allowed me both early check-in and late check-out.

Full-board Indonesian and western meals, water and tea/coffee are provided for free at the open-air Seafront restaurant.

Spread across 2.5 hectares of tropical gardens, the wooden bungalows are simply furnished with a fan. The private terrace enjoys views of the sea and reef. En suite bathrooms are equipped with shower facilities. If you are after tranquil and quiet, off-grid rest this is 100% the spot. The hosts and staff are lovely. Full board meals delicious and packed with goodness. Ive not experienced such deep rest in many years. If I won the lottery I would totally ask to buy one of the seafront bungalows to stay permanent. Simple living in the most glorious spot. Snorkeling is also so wonderful. I hardly want to tell about it, in fear to many people know. Its wonderful.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free WiFi. The holiday park features family rooms. The rooms were clean and it is a nice location right on the beach.
