Nestled on 16 acres of grounds, Montville Country Cabins offers self-catering accommodation alongside a small lake. The cottages are situated adjacent to Kondalilla National Park, just 5 minutes' drive from Montville Village. Only a few minutes out of Montville, but you feel like you are far, far away from the rest of the world. It's beautiful and so peaceful, and I felt like I could stay there forever. The view of the mini- lake, complete with lily pads and frogs, from the bedroom and living room was wonderful. Absolutely recommend 100% if you are looking for an escape. I think it's particularly suited to romantic escapes! The owner/ managers take excellent care of you without being even slightly intrusive. Hot, fresh baked croissants hung quietly and unobtrusively on your door every morning for breakfast! So many thoughtful little touches in the cottage, including a freshly laid fire ready to light! And you don't even notice other guests! I particularly loved how many birds were on the property, whipbirds, kookaburras, currawongs, butcher birds, frogmouths (I saw 4!) Yellow tailed black cockatoos, sulfer crested cockatoos, pale headed rosella, ibis, doves, ducks to name a few... It's perfectly located to explore the sunshine coast hinterland, but if you were so inclined you could never leave the property for your whole stay! Just a note for anyone trying to work on holiday, there's no wifi and certain mobile sim cards will drop in and out of service, just as they do in the whole hinterland area. I'm not putting this in the category of things I disliked because it was not important to me.

At Remingtons Private Cottages offers 2 cottages with spectacular hinterland and ocean views. It is located 2 km from Montville village and 22 km from Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. There are many cafes, restaurants, scenic waterfalls, nature walks and picnic areas within a 15 minutes’ drive. Such a beautiful place. We really enjoyed the thoughtful hamper on arrival. The weather was cloudy on arrival but woke up to a wonderful sunrise and set. The bathrobes were so soft and luxurious. A delightful stay. I highly recommend it

Just 5 minutes’ walk from the beautiful Alexandra Headland Beach, clubs, cafes and restaurant dining, this renovated holiday park, with a range of villas and cabins, offers a heated swimming pool and a children’s playground. All accommodation offers a balcony or patio and a flat-screen LED TV. Free WiFi is available. The park was in a fantastic location and very quiet. We walked to the beach to a lookout at night The two bedroom cabin slept 5 of us comfortably.. The pool was a decent size for the kids too.

Accommodation options include self-contained bungalows and villas. All include a TV, a dining area and outdoor furnishings. We stated in a safari tent and had a fantastic time! It can get loud as there are no walls, but it’s wonderful to hear the birds first thing in the morning.

The private bathroom has a shower and a toilet. Good location. Walking distance to shops and beach. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Nice sized swimming pool.
