The villa is located in a beautiful setting and we really felt like we could relax and enjoy the facilities. The staff were incredibly personable, warm, welcoming and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need throughout our stay. The breakfast was everything you could ask for and we loved that they went to the effort to make different baked treats every day. It is off the beaten track but it was very easy to book a bolt or an Uber to Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon for a very reasonable price. We loved our stay at Villa Pietra and we will be returning 💛

Nothing left except to say a wonderful experience for too short of a time. We will come back to see Helen on our next trip to Lisbon but we'll ask for room on the first floor if possible. Enjoying a privileged location in the historic center of Lisbon, the property is a former palace whose construction dates back to the 16th century. An incredibly generous hotel. We arrived and were offered wine, cheese and bread (help ourselves from the cellar), natas and cherry brandy at reception. The staff were kind, thoughtful, funny, intelligent. Breakfast was out of this world and the hotel is glorious in its decoration and furnishings.

The staff were the highlight of Bica FLH. In addition to their warm welcome and general helpfulness and charm, they gave outstanding recommendations for dinner spots and even made reservations. They allowed us to leave extra baggage in their storage area while we were on our bike ride. The breakfast was nice and additionally, teas, coffee, and snacks are available 24hrs a day. The rooms were comfortable. Some rooms are louder than others due to street noise (mostly late night people) but earplugs are provided.
