I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for the start of my trip in Panama. The room was large, incredibly comfortable, and perfectly quiet - yet the location was great, with plenty of restaurants and everything easily accessible. What really made this place special, though, was the owner. He runs everything with genuine heart and care. He was always around, always helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and well taken care of. From helpful advice to thoughtful little gestures, it was clear he truly cares about his guests :) And as a lovely bonus, his sweet and friendly dog added so much character and warmth to the place & made it feel even more like a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. It’s rare to find a combination of comfort, great location, and heartfelt hospitality like this. A huge thank you for such a beautiful stay!

I have never experienced such kind helpful staff. Manuel goes above and beyond to help. When we arrived we were having contacting a airline to arrange a ticket refund- he could not have been more helpful and with success. Whilst in Panama we were subject to petty crime and Manuel contacted the Police and came with us to the station to make a statement . We had a bigger room . It was quiet, very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. The WiFi worked well and the room had air-con. The kitchen was well equipt and we cooked a few meals. The staff will do your laundry on site for $6 a load. Excellent location- lots of shops ( food stores) and restaurants nearby. Via Argentina is a 10-15min walk. All in all we were so pleased that we chose Hostel IBRAIS - we came back for another stay! (Manuel stored our bags and had helped organise a San Blas tour)

The room was large, and the bed was comfortable. There was a closet with hangers and shelves for my clothes and a table with chairs. The air conditioning worked really well. The bathroom was clean and a good size. Laundry machine was convenient. The dining room was perfect for eating my breakfast. Kitchen was fully equipped. The on-site staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner was very personable.

Yayu went out of her way to make me feel welcome: knowing that I was tired and had no provisions, it was dark and had started raining, she drove me to an eatery for some food, made me a coffee in the morning and took me to the airport. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that!

The location was amazing and despite being the in the centre of the old town it was very quiet.

The hostel architecture is very nice and the rooms are comfortable. It has a rock climbing wall and a separate bar and restaurant which is awesome and very lively. Definitely recommended if you don't mind meeting new people, some music and having a good time. Felipe, the receptionist was very nice and a great person to talk with.

Good location just a 6 to 9 minute walk from amazing rooftops, restaurants, sites and squares. Police presence was strong on the corner (just a rock throw away) so I felt more comfortable in not being snatched coming into and out of the bldg late at night. The people around me were friendly enough. Overall neighborhood was a little "seedy" but not overwhelming. I would suggest wearing close toe shoes to avoid stepping on anything inappropriate for the sidewalks/streets.
