Located a 5-minute walk from the centre of Dakhla, Dar Rio Oro offers a terrace with sea views and Moroccan lounges. Excursions and guided tours can be organized at the property. Dar Rio Oro was an important stopover for us, and although the host was not present, she communicated with us throughout and ensured we had all the information needed for our onward journey into Mauritania. The guesthouse itself is beautiful and offers some of the best value in Dakhla, a city where prices are often inflated. The staff were incredibly accommodating, making a clear effort to engage with us despite language barriers. They even allowed us to leave our car while we travelled to Mauritania and kindly drove us to the bus station early in the morning.

The location is quiet and peaceful, yet close to the airport. The room was well-furnished and spotless clean. I especially appreciated the bonus of having access to a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, and all necessary utensils. Everything was in perfect condition. The attention to detail and comfort made my stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!
