The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. While you are still really close to the beach and town. Just 5 minutes walk 🤩. The owner is very nice and they have a sweet dogs and a cat 🐈🐾

It has a large green area with only 5-7 small standalone cottages. There are many animals and birds, and most importantly, they don’t make noise at night. Nearby is Jungle Beach, one of the few places in Weligama where swimming is comfortable since the waves are far away. The staff is wonderful—always polite and quick to resolve any issues, though there were very few during my stay. Communication was very smooth and comfortable! I talked to many people on the island, and I believe it’s hard to find a better place—hot water, good Wi-Fi, lots of greenery, no noise from roads or trains, air conditioning, excellent service, and only 7 minutes by bike to Weligama. Highly recommended!

Absolutely in love with the place that Wounderfull couple is managing! The whole team made out stay incredible and unforgettable, the varied so much about us almost every moment we stepped out of the room. Mr and Mrs Dias are always in the hotel, approachable if you need something. The hotel has a great security, it is not easy for strangers to come in. Also it is located on the Main Street it is very quiet and we slept well. The beach and some good restaurants are just couple minutes walk. The room was clean with everything you need, comfortable beds, hot shower with very good water pressure. Breakfast was very good with small compliments from the chef. We really enjoyed the place and would love to come back to this particular hotel next time we visit Sri Lanka.
