Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU is situated in Nochchiyagama. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Staff were amazing and host was easy to contact and flexible. Location was well out of the way with an amazing lake within a few minutes walk with trials to walk also bit perfect for Wilpattu national park. Food was really nice and the room had everything you could need.

Kadahatha Wawa Lake is 1.7 km from the guest house, while Habarana Lake is 2.2 km from the property. Sigiriya Airport is 11 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Our stay at Swan Lake Habarana was fantastic. Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

Great, honest service. Host (Ruwan) works hard to accommodate any need/request and makes great recommendations for local tours/attractions. We especially enjoyed the cultural dance and the (free!) local spice tour. Breakfast and overall vibe were great! This eco-lodge is next to the jungle, expect to be right up with nature, which is part of the experience!

Full English/Irish and Asian breakfast options with local specialities, fruits and juice are available. At the guest house, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner and specialises in American cuisine. I have nothing but praise for Priyavimana Resort! We stayed in a room with a terrace surrounded by palm trees, where you can enjoy breakfast accompanied by birdsong and squirrels. The owners are very kind and helpful. In addition to the fantastic breakfast (other meals are also available on request and I highly recommend trying them at least once), they were also a great help with excursions and sightseeing. The owner has a tuk-tuk and can easily take you to your desired destination. Communication in English was smooth and without any problems. Cleanliness was of a very high standard. During our trip around Sri Lanka, we stayed at several similar accommodations, and Priyavimana Resort was definitely among the very best, both in comfort and cleanliness. I’d also like to point out that they offered assistance in advance with organizing transportation from the airport as well as to our next destination. If (or rather, when) we return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely stay here again.
