Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Situated 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Starfish Cabbana offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. Starfisch Cabana felt like our second home, such a beautiful place with the best host!. Tharindu was always ready to help or have a chat with! The place is very clean, quiet and has a small outdoor kitchen. The fans work well and our bathroom was modern! Also a special acknowledgement has to go to the stunning, well-maintained garden. Absolutely stunning and very relaxing atmosphere. Furthermore, we got delicious breakfast every day which always hit the spot after a sunrise surf! Tharindu changed the breakfast every day from a traditional sri lanka breakfast to poached eggs with avocado toast with a delicious fruit bowl. Overall, Starfish Cabana is a hidden gem in Arugam Bay and if you are looking for a place to stay, look no further. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back :)

Very clean, quiet & comfortable with easy access to the shops and beach. Our host, Nisha, was very sweet & even invited us to dinner on our first night where she cooked up a delicious feast! She assisted with a lagoon tour and laundry.

At the guest house, the units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The owner was amazing and helped out so much! I was able to speak with him to extend my stay because it was so clean and comfortable. Embarrassingly I had ran out of fuel in my scooter and he was gracious enough to take to get fuel on his scooter. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Vinka was super helpful and kind throughout my stay — always available if I needed anything. Everything was perfect, and I felt totally at home. I’ll definitely come back one day. Highly recommended for surfers and nature lovers alike!
