Lilys river house was a wonderful place to stay! We rented kayaks and went through the fishing village and down to the ocean! The food was incredible and the property was beautiful.

The guesthouse was perfect - clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. I didn’t want to leave. Thank you again, Ellen, for an unforgettable stay. Bunnan Bungalows offers accommodations in Koh Rong Island. Guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar. Free WiFi is available in public areas. 📍Location is great. Coconut beach is quiet and peaceful. It’s away from the main pier but the hotel arranges for tuktuk to pick you up and it’s a 10 minute ride. 🛌 So for context there was a storm on the first night where the power went out for about 6 hours meaning no functioning fan for one night. Slept fine anyway, slept even better on the second night with the fan. Mosquito net also provided. 🍽️ Hotel serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. On average costing 4.50 usd for breakfast, 6.50 usd for lunch, 8.00 usd for dinner incl drinks. Card payments accepted. Good range of western and Asian options. Overall a great stay- I ended up extending my stay by 3 more nights and was lucky to take their last available room.

The bungalow is simple, which in my opinion is the best way to enjoy the environment surrounding it. The bed was confortable and had a mosquito net. The fan was all I needed to keep the room fresh at night. The shower had a good flow. The hammock on the balcony, with a view on the mangrove, was exceptional! Volunteering is possible there - teaching English to kids, planting mangrove plants, etc. Lonely beach, a stunning place, is close enough to access on foot (I did it a few times). Good restaurants also close by. Above all, Johney, the owner is funny, extremely helpful and kind, he drove me around several times 🥹 I wish I could’ve stay there longer. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic place to stay in Koh Rong, go there!

These bungalows exceeded my wildest expectations. This is exactly the quiet oasis I was looking for. Located on a peaceful part of the island with rustic bungalows that have an unbelievable amount of care and detail to them. From the extra towels to the refillable water, coffee/tea, mini fridge, mosquito net and even citronella sticks. John (the owner) is extremely sweet and even offers snorkeling gear. I wasn't expecting too much from the reef here cause I was here during rainy season but was very pleasantly surprised. Most importantly there are two hammock pavilions with an amazing view! Could not possibly ask for anything else!

She has all of the intel on the best places to eat, drink, snorkel etc. She knows all of the owners of the local restaurants and can tell you when and what is open as some of the restaurants have irregular opening times. We found our stay at Sam’s Place very comfortable and Sam made us feel totally welcome. The room was quiet and clean and there are outside soft chairs and sofa to relax. The beach is about 50 metres away; the mini Mart about 20 metres away. Highly recommended.
