The highlight of this place? Their onsen. The vibe—it was quite therapeutic and peaceful. I wish we had more time to enjoy the onsen.

In the morning Saki made us the most delicious coffee roasted by the owner. There is also a cute coffee shop in a trailer just outside. The location is excellent. Close to the train and beside the open air gallery. The staff were all great but Saki really went over and above to help us plan our days and gave great recommendations for restaurants. We had a great stay.

Open from August 2017, Guest House Wagokoro offers a modern Japanese-style accommodation an 8-minute stroll away from JR Nippori Station. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom and toilet.

Guests will find a shared kitchen and living room on site. Private rooms come with a TV, and a Japanese-style garden is featured on site. Overall, on our Japanese trip, Wagokoro was the best accommodation out of all our stays - it was the most economical, yet for us, was far preferable than some of the more sophisticated hotels we also stayed in. We loved the neighbourhood - quiet, yet plenty on offer. The station has great food options, the bakery 3 mins walk away was exceptional, and soon became our local, and although we didn't get to try it, there is a fabulous ramen place hidden away on the main road. Wagokoro is about 8-12 mins walk from the station, but that didn't bother us. We were glad for the quiet, after the intense busyness after our days out in Tokyo. (Nippori station is on the JR Yamanote line. It's also a stop on the Keisei Skyliner making it easy to get to from Narita Airport.) The staff were the best - so warm, friendly and helpful - it was like coming back home at the end of each day. The shared food prep and dining area was good for heating up and eating quick meals from the Family Mart, and the bedrooms were the most generously sized out of all our accommodation in Japan.

The accommodation provides a concierge service and a tour desk for guests. The place is very well located, the owners are lovely and very welcoming. It was such a nice experience! It is a nice place to stay for a few nights in the center of Nikko, very close to the station.

It's a short walk from Yuigahama station and close to Hasedera and Kotoku-in. I booked this place extremely last minute but the host was very accommodating and quick with their response. The host was so kind and generous that I felt right at home. I really enjoyed my stay!

This recently renovated guest house is located 3.4 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and 23 km from Sankeien. The guest house has family rooms. Nice quiet neighborhood. Nice blend of traditional Japanese and modern amenities. Pretty.

At the guest house, units have bed linen and towels. Ken-ken was a wonderful host. I only stayed for one night to be close to Nokogiri Mt. for hiking, but Ken-ken was extremely helpful and generous while I was there. One of my favorite memories from my two week trip to Japan will be my stay in this little town of Hota, much thanks to Ken-ken's hospitality and guidance for places to visit and eat at while I stayed. He recommended the cutest izakaya when I told him I was looking for dinner and a few beers called Rest Inn Wassup! The owner and cook there were so nice, and we had a good time visiting even though we were mostly speaking through Google Translate. Please don't be afraid to visit this little town if you want to see some authentic Japanese small-town life and great hiking. I was able to get around fairly easily, but be aware the public transportation is limited and it can get dark in the neighborhood at night. Rest assured, though, if you stay with Ken-ken, he will make your stay comfortable and worthwhile!

The kitchen is big and convenient. The shared bathroom is very clean. The washing machine is also very useful. The hotel has very relaxed and youthful vibe. The onsen in the hotel is very good.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 11 km from Nikko Station, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The guest house features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. The place is really special! The host is super nice and helpful. While staying at Mr. Hiro’s place you can feel the real Japan. The whole place was very clean and there was a cozy onsen inside. We highway recommend it!
