And the staff even speak some English. Will definitely return if I get the chance.

Beds were so comfortable and they had all the amenities you might need while traveling even for a hostel. Would be more than happy to stay here again!

You could say they made it feel like home, but back home you don't get nearly as much warmness and kindness as they provide. The interior is full of character, it's all DIY, everything looks handmade by the people who run the guesthouse. Anyhow, the beds/sheets/showers and all the important things are super clean, the hosts take care of you and you can have a very nice coffee. I would not have stayed as long as i did in Kobe if it were not for guesthouse Maya. Thank you to all the staff, you were able to change my mood for the better for the length of the stay and most likely until i visit again in a year or a few. ❤️

The owner also displays promotion materials about the local environs which suitable for new comer like us in the local community. The property is a quiet place. Having said that, depends on your requirement of "quiet", the property is adjoining to a main county road which means cars are passing through day and night, though not frequent. The owner is a nice gentleman and willing at all time to give you a helping hand in providing advices in the local community such as traveling, dining and sight seeing. To a traveler, a clean, comfort and safe place to stay is essential to release of uncertainty. The property and the owner do this well.
