Everything was absolutely amazing, and especially the service. The owner is so kind and helpful. He helped us out so much and even drove us to the ferry. The building has been beautifully renovated, everything is new and plush. I’ve never stayed in such a first class hostel. The sliding doors for privacy by each bed are just great! The owner is lovely and strives to give an excellent service. He let me check in early because I arrived by bicycle (twice in fact). I returned because I liked it so much and felt at home. The place is probably the cleanest hotel in Japan, and that’s saying something. Also, the dining room chairs are so comfortable. Highly recommend.

It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

Cant recommend it enough if you want to experience sleeping in a beautiful old Japanese house on a hill! The staff is very sweet, take their time to carefully explain everything. The stay also has a small cafe, where you can even eat your own outside food or just hang around. Room + the view from this stay is amazing! :)
