My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. Ken san and Yuki san were delightful. The property was very clean and comfortable. They renovated the inn themselves and you can see care and attention in every detail from materials used to decor. The food was delicious and much of it was grown (rice) or made (plum wine) by Ken or Yuki. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and side trips. They ensured we were prepared with all the details required to ensure we had successful adventures. We are so lucky to have we picked the Sakonomichi. It was sugoi!!!

The door to the cafe was open and there was a welcome sign with our name on it as we approached the back where the stay is located. There were very nice dishes, glasses, coffee cups, etc. The bunk beds were comfortable and the drapes for privacy were a plus. We went for a sake tasting down the street which was simple but nice. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back and stay longer. If you’re eating in town, you must make reservations!
