I’m only now writing a review for Shiori place, however this was my first introduction to Japan, and one of our favourite experiences of our whole 2 month trip throughout the country. Not only is she the perfect host, super attentive, open, friendly unbelievably giving , but she went above and beyond what one could ask for from a stranger. After one night we extended our stay and she took us on a tour around the town, to museums, shrines, the beach and we shared several meals together, all of which only made us sadder to leave her. The house is beautiful, has everything you could want from a guesthouse and the traditional interior decoration of Japanese homes. We hope we have formed a friendship for a long time to come and we will never forgot our wonderful stay with her. Please do not hesitate to book, even if it is for a short stay, you won’t regret it. She taught my partner how to play the cello then we played together in the sunset at the beach. Fukutsu is a wonderful, charming town. The house is clean and tidy, with great facilities, its always nice having access to a washing machine.

Central location, there is bus from the city center going to the train station. Quiet and clean, definitly a good value for money.
