The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and we slept amazingly well. This is quite rare in Karimunjawa, where nighttime can be noisy due to prayer speakers — here, instead, we found true peace and quiet. We had originally planned to stay only three nights before moving elsewhere, but if we could go back, we’d definitely spend our whole time at Loyal Friend. It truly felt like home. The location is excellent: just a short distance from both the center and the harbor. We also rented a scooter at a very fair price — it was in great condition and gave us no issues at all. This is a special place that we’ll always carry in our hearts, and we recommend it wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

At the guest house, all units are allergy-free. I really loved the location — it feels like the countryside, close to the rice fields. I wish I could’ve stayed longer; it’s such a peaceful place with crickets singing at night and a very cozy atmosphere. The property is extremely clean, and the room was very spacious, beautifully decorated with wooden furniture, and had a small terrace. The cottages are surrounded by greenery, and there’s also a restaurant on-site. The staff were absolutely lovely, and it was easy to order a Grab from here. You can even see the temple from a distance — such a charming place!

The family-friendly restaurant at the guest house specialises in American cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. Deepsky villa charms with it's laidback vibe and genuine experience. Perfect for a truly relaxing escape. And we were shown stars, constellations and galaxies in the pictures Jack took. We didn't get the chance to view them through a telescope. So we will have to return!

We are a family of three staying with Floating Paradise for 4 days. It's been an incredible experience! If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-track and relaxing stay, this is you destination. The owners Tono and Astrid are going out of their way to accommodate you and so will the kind staff. Upon arriving, we received an upgrade to the newly built family room, which features two separate rooms within the bungalow. Kayaking is free and great fun to explore the nearby mangroves, the small island ahead and Bobby Beach on the other side of the laguna. Snorkeling is fantastic here, as the coral reef can be found literally outside the bungalows. On the second day, we went on a boat trip to other islands, where we snorkelled at multiple gorgeous locations and ate lunch on a pristine and remote island - it was such an amazing day! The third day, Astrid took us onto a fun hike which rewarded us with breathtaking views over the island, ending at Bukit Love viewpoint. We also took advantage of Astrid being a certified Yoga teacher, having yoga lessons right by the dock as the sun set over the laguna - you really can't beat this setting. Our final day marked the end of Ramadan, so the entire family went out of their way and took us to town for a fun parade organized by the island community. A truly memorable experience! Thanks a bunch for your hospitality, we are leaving the island refreshed and with much love in our hearts.

Provided a great breakfast, very early in the morning at my request. Picked me up and dropped me off at the railway station, as well as to the Ramayana Ballet. They also let me use their bicycle, which is a great way to explore all the temples in the area.

The bathroom is small with no sink, but the shower is warm when you have the knack!! It is close to many sights in Dieng & convenient for food & hiking - we spent our time exploring on foot. Fantastic value for money & a great experience in Dieng.

The hostel ia very close to the temple entrance, the reception guy is very nice and can provide info, facilities are great too (wifi, lockers, curtains for the beds, cleanliness, air con). Also, free cold water and coffee in the morning. It's a pity very little people come to spend a night in Borobudur. It's a very cute town and you can have nice walks in the rice fields just behind the temple or going towards the Chicken Church.
