Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!

The host was amazing, eager to help with anything that we needed. The rooms were ready even before the scheduled time so we were able to leave our belongings. The property is close to the beach and the rooms are exactly as pictured in the booking. The host definitely helped make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

It had all the amenities for the pleasant stay: the towels were changed daily, there was a coffee machine with different capsules; I had kettle, plates, cups, cutlery, fridge and har dryer. The bed was very comfortable and I had a lovely view. The beach was within 5 min walking distance, along the way supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants. The owner was very kind and welcoming. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and I strongly recommend this accommodation for all kinds of travellers!

It was very clean and equipped with everything you need. It is located about 10–15 minutes from the beach. We also had a free parking spot in a secured parking area. The owner was very kind and communicative, which made the stay even more pleasant.
