The prestigious Almorah Hotel was built around 1841 and is a listed building of great importance. It is situated in an elevated position above the town of St Helier with magnificent views over the town and its interesting harbour filled with a mixture of fishing boats and private yachts. Our hosts, Carlos and Silvina were wonderful.Nothing was too much trouble,and always cheerful.Breakfasts were great,as were the evening meals.

Originally built 200 years ago, the guesthouse maintains some original features. Room was totally clean 😀 (I'm very critical) . View was exceptional. A lovely guesthouse. The owners John and Rebecca are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, this was my second stay there and I will certainly be using the De L'Etang again.

The guest house features some units with inner courtyard views, and the units are fitted with a kettle. The units are equipped with heating facilities. Everything was fine, clean spacious room, location, quiet environment. Next time I will choose the Villa Nova again.
