Friendly atmosphere that allows making new acquaintances (but if you don't want you don't have to, there is no pressure!). The cats! 🐈🐈‍⬛Convenient location provided you have a rental car (I would anyway recommend renting one regardless of where you stay). Felt very comfortable and didn't want to leave.

This is a large mansion dating from the end of the 19th century and has been refurbished to accommodate a new style of tourism. The hotel has been lovingly decorated with wood combined with cheerful fabric and with a range of colours and a collection of antique pieces that fill the hallways and bedrooms. This is a place that oozes harmony and with charming gardens populated by hundred year old trees and a swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. The property was wonderfully characterful. Alcove and walls were full of old artefacts and paintings. It had been a plantation in the past but water shortages have changed that. They grow as much fruit as they can for guests. I especially enjoyed the company of the cats and chickens at breakfast
