The owner, Gonzalo, really puts his soul into this place and you can see it in tiny details like night sky projectors in every room. I will happily stay here again if I come back to Puerto Viejo.

All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. Sergio and Gloria are amazing hosts! We had a wonderful stay in Daneysha and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well maintained, family friendly and hospitable guesthouse when visiting Tortuguero. Also highly recommend Sergio as a guide to the national park.

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. The house was very comfortable and the balcony was great. The host responded to everything we asked for. We would definitely recommended it.

It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.

Excellent place to stay in Cahuita. Walking distance to national park and to town center. Clean rooms, well equipped kitchen, and amazing hosts.

Set in Cahuita and only 100 metres from Negra, Casa Aldirica offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This recently renovated guest house features a building dating back to 2003, which is 22 km from the Jaguar Rescue Center. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Elisa and her mother were wonderful hosts! Extremely friendly, have great local recommendations and made me feel welcome as part of the family straight away. The house is very peaceful and a great place to relax, with easy access to Playa Negra, several local bars and a short walk to the centre of Cahuita and Cahuita National Park. You can see numerous animals in the surroundings (I saw a little Capybara 🥹). Casa Aldirica is a fantastic place to stay and I would whole-heartedly recommend it! Pura Vida 😊
