Silvana was a wonderful host. She prepared a to-go breakfast for us when we went to see the penguins along with preparing a delicious hot breakfast for us on the other days of our trip. The beds were comfy and overall the hostal was very clean. The location is good and close to the center of town. Overall, loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

The hosts are all super nice and helpful! The hostal is at a 20min-walk to the city centre, the room was nice, clean and big enough for our packs. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and functional. The breakfast was also good with a variety of sweet and salty food. Stayed there before and after the W trek and will definitely go back again!

Large comfortable warm room with clean ensuite. Lots of extra toiletries, hair-dryer etc. It is an easy 20 min downhill walk to the town center. And Fabien was only too willing to come and give us a lift (ride) back after dinner. Enjoyed our moments of 80's in-car karaoke!

Hostal Fernando de Magalhaes offers accommodation in the district of Cerro de la Cruz in Punta Arenas. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Very accommodating with our late night arrival, and so communicative via What’s App. Really great instructions about how to get into our unit in the middle of the night.

Close to the main area and restaurants of the city!!! I would definitely come back to this hostal!

We had a good breakfast every morning and if we had to leave early a snack was left for us in the fridge. Pedro exchanged money at a fair rate. Laundry services and tour bookings were also made.
