Had a wonderful stay at Gasthof Engelhof! The staff were beyond friendly and welcoming, food was amazing, my room was quiet and cosy, but more importantly clean and I assume recently renovated. The hotel is a short walk from the tram station Gmunden Engelhof, and easy to reach. Highly recommended!

Great location not far from the lake. It is a sleepy town but it is a good place to stay for a night before moving on. There is a car park attached to the Gasthof which is handy. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was laid out for us when we came down in the morning. Breakfast is as basic but did the job
Typical Austrian format of pension, good value for money. The rooms are nice and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The breakfast was good, but the owner was quite surprised about the request for tea instead of coffee. In general, good choice for a night or two.

Great location, close to the lake, the train station and grocery shops. Many hiking routes in the area. Clean and quiet place, the room had a balcony with a wonderful view at the mountains. Delicious breakfast, supernice and very attentive staff. Highly recommended!
