The accommodation was an experience in itself! - lake and mountain view out the window - the mainly log style interior was very quirky and considered, i loved it! - super clean and comfortable - the staff were so friendly and very attentive - superb location, 7-minute walk away from the train station, the bus stops to and from Hallstatt (centre) were in front of the accom, very convenient - and the breakfast was excellent (food and service wise). You go down and the table is set for you.

We absolutely love the view from our hotel room. Once we got to the hotel we got unexpected upgrade for a room with the view of the lake, although we booked a regular room. Hotel staff were very friendly and approachable. They assisted us with checking in and let us check in earlier than scheduled. The rooms were clean and neat, the bathroom and shower was tidy and the rooms were warm and cozy. The view from the balcony was stunning. I would love to have a coffee early in the morning at the balcony enjoying the sunshine. Definitely will come back in summer to enjoy the beauty of the nature and comfort of the hotel.

Surrounded by mountains, Haus Alpenrose enjoys a peaceful location a 10-minute walk from the Lake Hallstatt and 3 km from the Krippenstein Ski Area. It features rooms with mountain views and free Wi-Fi. Daily buffet breakfast is available. Great host, helpful, friendly and going the extra mile to help and give suggestions. Free coffee in the morning was a great, generous bonus. I couldn't be any happier. Great location, not touristy but at the same time close to Hallstatt and Dachstein.
