The grounds and room were beautiful. I'm sorry that it was cold when we visited as the pool looked so inviting. Melani made restaurant suggestions, brought us making for a delicious breakfast and saved the day when she secured a safe , last minute transport to our next destination that had been inadvertantly canceled at the last minute. She and her husband were very gracious and put us at ease. We highly recommend a Riverbed guesthouse.

We have recently stayed at La Sosta and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. The room we stayed in was absolutely adorable - it was cosy, comfortable and had all the amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail in the room decor was impressive, making it the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. What truly made our stay special was the restaurant at the property. The meals were some of the most delicious and intricate I've ever had - each dish was a true work of art, and every bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I was blown away by the creativity and skill of the chefs. But what really set this property apart from the rest was the kindness and professionalism of Salvatore and Nina. You can see that they put their heart and soul in everything they make, which is something rare and beautiful. I cannot recommend this property enough - it's the perfect place for anyone looking for a cozy retreat with fantastic food and amazing hospitality. Thank you Salvatore and Nina for making our stay so memorable! :)

Absolutely wonderful night in Swellendam. Clean, spacious rooms. Very quiet at night - even though its next to the main road. Safe parking behind the house. Very nice host with lots of recommendations for restaurant and our further trip! Excellent breakfast on the veranda! There is also a very nice pool in the garden, which we didnt use due to cold weather, but looks lovely! Highly recommended!
