A wonderful place near a small great beach. The owner of this amazing place tried to fulfill all our wishes. The place is for people who value peace. It is comfortable, cozy, delicious. Thank you to the wonderful host. We will definitely come back here.

We had a perfect stay here. The staff was super friendly and food in the restaurant was one of the best we have had in Thailand. Location is close to beach and with the scooter that they rent, it is easy to explore the island. Would highly recommend!

It's out of the way, but 5 minutes from one of the beach... in a forest, where you can have a nice birdy awakening... Ama, the manager or owner...(I didn't asked) is so sweet, you will melt... and if you compare to all the another places I stayed on this island, you will understand what I mean.. We originally booked just two nights because we were a bit unsure – mainly due to the limited number of reviews and the fact that it’s called a “hostel.” But we ended up extending our stay by another four nights and had a wonderful time! The few reviews are simply because the place only opened last year. The term “hostel” is actually a bit misleading – there are just three private single rooms (with shared bathrooms), so it’s much quieter and more private than you might expect. The host also plans to build a shared dorm on the other side of the building in the future. One of the best things is the price – it’s very affordable compared to most other places on Koh Kood. Despite the low cost, everything was always clean, especially the bathroom. The host was super friendly and always responded quickly to messages. There’s a fridge and a small kitchenette with dishes downstairs in the shared area. Each room has a shelf for your stuff and a fan, and the doors are fitted with extra insect screens. (If you’re sensitive to bugs, you might want to bring a mosquito net – there’s room to hang one over the bed.) We had one of the two rooms upstairs and loved the terrace – it was perfect for hanging our hammock and gym rings, and we had plenty of space to dry clothes. Every evening, a few tokay geckos would show up, which – as you might know – are considered good luck in Thailand! The location is also great – relatively quiet, with a few restaurants, small shops, a laundry, and a pharmacy all nearby. Ao Taphao Beach is just 1.5 km away, and the whole island is easy to explore by scooter, which you can rent directly from the host at a fair price. In short: this is a budget-friendly place that delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for more luxury, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more. But for what it is, we thought it was great – and we really don’t understand the negative reviews!

Silent spot in the jungle. Matteo is very attentive, helpful and friendly host. Very rich breakfast. Beach and fisherman's village in 2 minutes by motorbike. Motorbikes are directly available with the house.

Especially the location, amazing beach and clear waters

Great location, close to everything. Nice people, friendly staff. It has no beach, but you can do some snorkeling at the rocks. There is some really interesting fishes just 10 meters from the shore. The breakfast was great and they offered a wide variety. The room itself was cozy with a comfortable bed and a quite AC. We've choosen a sea-front bungalow, the view was great. If you read in some other reviews that the water is cold in the showers: you have to turn it on to get hot water. We needed a few minutes to figure that out. Also, they don't clean automatically, if you need it you have to ask for it at the reception. Which is no secret, they will tell you in the first 5 minutes. I'm guessing some people are just not paying attention.
