Location is amaaazing! Javir was very friendly and helpful. Had a few minor issue which were dealt with immediately. Close to all the action. Spa across the street. Building was old but well maintained. Bed was super comfortable10/10 would recommend.

Sara was exceptionally kind and welcoming upon arrival. We had a very good stay. We booked the hotel because he was in close proximity to the airport. I suggest going to the following place for breakfast and ordering a coffee with milk (it’s right according the hotel). It’s kind of their specialty: Veracruz Flavor Puerto Vallarta.

Kualena is an intimate, cozy hostel located right outside of the Zona Romantico's bustling centre. It is adjacent to useful shopping - a produce market, corner shop and Cafe. The rooms are very packed with beds, so it can be noisy in close quarters, but each bunk is well equipped! The private bathrooms per dorm are beautiful. Beds were new and very comfy with curtains for privacy and individual amenities. Lockers are a good size for carry on baggage and valuables. It is kept quite clean by the staff, including the full service kitchen and large outdoor patio common space. Service was really friendly and helpful for local busses/ transportation or recommendations for food.

Property exceeded my expectations everywhere. We requested extra chairs for our deck and they were delivered within an hour. We loved watching the little village come alive every morning as they prepared for tourist, loaded and unloaded small boats etc. The pools and hot tub were awesome and provided a beautiful setting to watch ocean. We were very pleased with how room was set up. There was 55" TV with many choices. The quality of construction and furnishings were all very impressive. We are around 70 and walked to village everyday multiple times without issue. The staff and people in town were very friendly.

This is a very cute and unique boutique hotel with character and flavour that is often missed in new constructions. This place will be fantastic once the dream is completely realized. We liked and took advantage of the location by visiting nearby restaurants and shopping at a very good grocery store within walking distance. We used the kitchen available to all guests which was a convenience that really made a difference for our 4 week stay. Easy and close access to buses allowed day trips in to PV or other small towns if you wish. We did. The beach is 5 blocks away. The street has a slight increased gradient so you will have an uphill walk back at the end of the day. . .but not too difficult. (We are 67!) The near proximity to the major highway really wasn't an issue for us, but may be if you don't want any traffic noise at all. We enjoyed morning coffees in the lushly treed and nicely appointed courtyard. Patty is a supreme host and Adrian was available to help us out whenever we needed him. Thank you for a wonderful month in Bucerias!
