Perfect stay at Iguana Azul in Chefchaouen My friend and I stayed at Iguana Azul for three nights and absolutely loved it. Our room was spotless, fresh, and felt almost new. The bed was huge and super comfortable, with two separate blankets — no fighting over the covers at night! There was also air conditioning, which made it even more comfortable. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and were always ready to assist with anything — whether it was questions about things to do in the area or helping us book a cooking class or hammam visit. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and the rooftop terrace is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax. The location is perfect too: right in the heart of Chefchaouen’s charming little streets. We truly felt at home and taken care of. This place is a gem and we’ll definitely come back. The house is located in an interesting area — the view of the mountains from the window is definitely a highlight. The only thing breaking the silence is the sound of birds singing, which adds to the charm. The interior is pleasant and well-designed overall. The room was cozy and clean, with a private balcony featuring a power outlet, bar stools, and a beautiful view of the town and mountains. We arrived by car — the GPS led us right to the house, and there’s private parking available nearby. However, the road can be a bit tricky and bumpy in some parts. You can walk to Chefchaouen in about 15–20 minutes, but the way back is uphill, which can be quite tiring, especially in the heat. The service was absolutely amazing — the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Even late at night, they were available and helped us double-check our route. It truly felt like visiting distant family — that’s how warm and welcoming everything was. We also ordered dinner — it was delicious, authentic, and served with great music and a breathtaking view. Thank you so much!

I was so nervous about parking after reading many blogs but the manager was so helpful! He met us at the bottom of the street and someone else guided us into a parking spot outside there house, we paid 20 Dir to park overnight. All the staff especially the manager was so accommodating and kind, they helped us with our heavy bags to and from the car too! Breakfast was good too. They also have electric blankets inside the bedding which I thought was a lovely touch as it can get cold given it’s a Riad. The also had A/C so we had the heating on too. Really pretty decor too

The location of the riad is amazing! 2 minutes from the entrance to the Medina,near the central square, shops, cafes. The view from the room window is magnificent. The hotel and the room itself are decorated in Chefchaouen style, very beautiful and authentic. The owner is really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also superb, served on a lovely terrace overlooking the city.

I booked 2 nights and ended up staying 4. I felt welcomed since the moment I arrived and knew I would extend my stay in Chefchaouen. The staff is so nice, pleasant and kind. The entire place is very clean. Ask for the hot water shower trick if you're staying downstairs. Ear plugs are a must also downstairs. The terrace is amazing to spend time reading, writing, and enjoying the most amazing view. Super good location inside the medina near the trail to the Spanish mosque. Being able to use the kitchen during the mornings is a plus. Thank you!

Location was amazing. Quiet on top of the mountain with view of Chefchaouene. We had the best breakfast and Rachid cooked amazing Paella. On top of this Rachid guided us to Chefchaouene and made the cutest film/video for us and my parents. We miss you Rachid!!!

The rooms are compact, but very clean and confortable! And plus, there's an amazing view to the mountains right next to the city. The Riad is very cute, well located and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
