This is something special. If you are bored with big expensive modern hotels and you are on the Morocco trip, try this. You will sleep in the old original earthen castle in so, so state (not collapsing, but not so far from this state, almost everything in this village looks like at the end of life cycle), but with very friendly owner who will prepare full tajine from scratch (not like in the restaurant, here you can wait almost two hours, it was excellent). Sit there, drink tea and relax. Fantastic return in time. Leave Ait Ben Haddou for tourist agencies, here you can sleep in the same buildings without any other tourists and crowds. Lovely place.

Probably the nicest place to stay in town, lovely room and lovely people. It was cold so they gave us some firewood which was nice as everywhere else we stayed said we could not use the fires in the room.

Staying within this kasbah was a great experience. The room we had adequate. The position of the riad on the edge of the kasbah overlooking the palmeriae was very beautiful - a walk through the palmeriae is recommended. Our host Ismail was fantastic. We guided us around the Tamnagalt kasbah and explained everything, prepared our breakfast, joined us in conversation and really made our time there very rewarding and memorable. He organised dinner for us at a nearby rooftop terrace restaurant in the kasbah.

Excellent location . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loves being able to have a massage after a long day . The pool was very refreshing .
