Everything. It is surrounded by a lush garden of palm trees, very serene, in the morning you hear the chirping of birds as the jungle wakes up, the evening is very calm and quiet. The cottages are super clean, bedsheets smelling fresh, and the room has everything you might need (toiletries, water, kettle, tea, A/C). Sandeep is very thoughtful and can take of everything, from safari tour, to rides in/out of Udawalawe, dinner recommendations). The breakfast with full view of the trees was the cherry on the cake. I would return here anytime, I travel a lot and this is definitely in my top 3 hidden gems I found during my worldwide travels.

This place is absolutely incredible. I'd honestly live here. Anju and his family were so welcoming and helpful. They had welcome drinks on arrival and after our safari which he organised, which was lovely. Breakfast and dinner were amazing! There was so much food, I couldn't eat it all, they even lit candles for dinner. The cottages themselves are absolutely stunning. They have been done to such a gorgeous standard and so many little details like beautiful light fixtures, natural shower as well as a hot one in the bathroom, washing line, gorgeous decor, and all the wooden furniture is lovely. They are just finishing their third cabin which will sleep three, Anju gave me a tour of it and it will be lovely.

The owners were so lovely and kind. They provided us with a beautiful Sri lankan dinner and catered for one guest who does not like spicy food by making and individual curry just for her. Breakfast was also very good and they even supplied additional snacks for our child. The setting was beautiful and very peaceful and the beds were very comfortable. The place was great value for money and would definately recommend staying here!

The owner, Janith is a great guy, he can organize everything, he is also a safari driver/guide with own transport. Unfortunately he was sick when we were there, but his friend Passadu was a great, safe driver who made my son very happy by showing at least 20 species of animals during our 6hr safari in the morning. Also his mother's breakfast in the National Park and her homemade curry for dinner were very delicious.

Such a perfect place to stay when you want to visit Udawalawe national park! We highly recommend to arrange the private jeep tour to the park with the owner - the driver was so professional, spoke good English and made sure that we saw all the animals possible!! The place itself is magical - cosy little house with outdoor shower. Especially relaxing if you arrive from the busy Kandy city or south area. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owners were so warm and welcoming. And the food!!! They prepared us such a nice lunch when we arrived - very authentic and delicious Sri Lankan food. Also their dog was such a nice entertainment for our toddler 🙂

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Beginning with a beautiful drive into the jungle like property and an incredibly friendly welcome by Irangan. The tent itself is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and allows you to have the feeling of being outdoors while still having a complete bathroom. There are birds sounds, and little critters to complete the experience. I would recommend eating at the property as the rice and curry prepared by the family was some of the most delicious we have eaten, you can also try some of the lake fish. So very nice to be able to support someone with a dream and offering such a nice tourist experience.

The lacasa hotel is very clean and quite .its food is delicious .They are kind and very friendly staff. they organize safary at the most frequent price. I recommend very much hotel lacasa udawalawa.

Hasthi safari was really really cute! Family run guesthouse, with private and quite garden. The meal are delicious and the staff can settle for you transfer and beatiful safari! We love it!!
