Channa, the owner, is a lovely man. We had a last minute check in with him, and he arranged a spacious, comfortable budget room for the 3 of us. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was very good. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean. Highly recommended.

I've stayed in at least 100 different locations in Sri Lanka over the years, but Agro Village wins my award for the best rooms. Designed and built by the owner, the rooms are light and airy, with all the plugs in the right places, an amazingly comfortable bed, no mosquitoes, a very good bathroom - with a mop! - and an outside area in the trees. The food is just right too. And he's planning a swimming pool! The price is a lot lower than other places in Kalpitya, if we needed any other reason to come back.

Situated in Vannativillu, The Sanctuary provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

"Amazing Stay at Dune Towers – A Perfect Getaway!" We had such a great time at Dune Towers and I can't recommend it enough! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning – quiet beach. The rooms were super comfortable, clean, and really well-designed, whole resort felt very peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The chef made some of the best seafood we’ve ever had, and the staff was always happy to adjust the menu for us. Even they arranged a roof-top dinner, so we were watching sunset into the Indian Ocean. We loved the pool with slide.

We decided to come to Kalpityia spontaneously and made a last minute booking. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, we felt really comfortable there. He made us an excellent dinner too. The whole area is basically a family business, all people we met were really warm and friendly. The accommodation is just a stone's throw from the beach, which is particularly great for kite surfing. It's a peaceful place surrounded by nature, perfect for both relax and activities.

Sun Wind Beach Kite Resort is a place with an incredibly positive vibe. Spending a few weeks with Susantha's family is an experience in itself. Delicious homemade dinners prepared by his mom, a always-smiling dad, and Susantha with his unique outlook on life. More importantly, when it comes to learning how to kite surf, I couldn't have found a better place. Susantha is a passionate person dedicated to ensuring his team teaches you how to ride a kite and have fun doing it. They wouldn't let me give up when I was feeling overwhelmed, and eventually, I started riding the board with the kite.
