location was great - quiet hilltop area with spectacular views. Fabulous place to unwind in the coolness. Plenty of great places on the premises to read, ctach up with work etc Great walking trails around the area. Cooking class was really very good - we created amazing dishes from scratch (including a market visit) Owners and their families are lovely people. Breakfast was FABULOUS

Guesthouse run by a young, smiling Franco–Sri Lankan couple. Our stay was really wonderful, the area is not touristy and feels very authentic. The tea plantations are simply stunning. Personally, it was my favourite part of the whole trip to Sri Lanka. The room was large and clean. We also had dinner at their upstairs restaurant on both nights, for a really small price. We used the laundry service as well. I highly recommend staying here, above all for the great overall experience. Thank you!

The owner Kalai is so lovely and helpful. The place is really clean and there is a kettle with free tea and water provided. It’s a really nice view from the property and just a short walk to a different viewpoints, one in particular about 1km from the property was great for sunrise! If you enjoy hiking, you can join sections of the pekoe trail from here and there is a nice restaurant a short walk away which has a good selection and is reasonably priced. Very relaxing! This family guesthouse is a really wonderful experience. We arrived a little earlier than planned and the room was promptly made available for us. They helped with all of our questions & arranged a bike for us and we had a lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. This was one of the best stays I’ve had! The rooms were spotless, the owner was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. But the highlight was the incredible view from the balcony – it was worth every penny. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

I've been to White Monkey 8 years ago and I am here again! Breathtaking views, peaceful and quiet location and almost no tourists around! You will definitely fall in love with this place and plan to come back! The family is helpful and friendly, the dogs are super cute. Another plus is hot water in the shower. We also enjoyed the tradition of gathering at the same table with other guests for dinner. Eating delicious homemade food and sharing experiences. P.S. Highly recommend taking a bus to the factory and then walking the remaining 7 km to the Lipton's seat on foot.
