Pleasure of staying at a Bawa's guest house for one night and was truly impressed by the warm and homely ambiance it offered. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease, thanks to the exceptional service and the immaculately clean surroundings. The guest house exuded a sense of comfort and coziness that immediately made me feel at home. The decor was tasteful and inviting, with personal touches that added to the overall charm of the place. The room I stayed in was not only well-appointed but also spotlessly clean, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail that the owners put into maintaining their establishment. What truly set is they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any request I had. Whether it was providing local recommendations or ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, their hospitality was exceptional. In addition to the wonderful service and cozy atmosphere, the guest house also offered a delicious breakfast and tea that further enhanced my overall experience. The homemade touches and variety of options made for a delightful start to the day, setting a positive tone for the rest of my stay. The best hotel in Sri Lanka in my opinion and my wife's. Incredible view of tea plantations and clouds! Lots of walking paths. Excellent local cuisine, delicious coffee and the best service in Haputale! Stayed here 6 times: alone, with my wife, with my wife and children. Very comfortable mattress and cool weather which makes for a very good night's sleep. And I will come back more than once! Beautiful garden in the yard, delicious food, hospitable host. Lots of hiking routes nearby. Incredible view of the clouds right from the balcony, you can watch how the clouds are born and how they disappear. Feels like you are in paradise! I thank the creators for this place with all my heart!

If you travel to Sri Lanka, it would be a huge loss not to spend at least a night in Haputale, at this guesthouse. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at in our many years of traveling. The host, Saman, and his family, truly made us feel part of their family. We only stayed 2 nights, but it felt like we were staying at an old friend’s family house. They have a wonderful house overlooking the hills. The rooms are wonderful: clean, spacious, with a balcony and with some of the best views we have seen. The location is simply wonderful, in the middle of hills covered with tea plantations. The host showed us a short hike right behind the house through tea plantations, with views of forests, hills, and lakes. The guest house is perfectly located as a starting point for many of the nature attractions in the area. Saman is such an amazing host, and he will go out of his way to help you plan your stay and organize trips around to Lipton’s Seat, Horton Plains, waterfalls, or anywhere else. Our stay in Haputale was definitely a highlight of a trip, and we definitely recommend it if you’re looking to stay in a wonderful location that is a lot less touristy than Ella. This guesthouse is a place where you will feel like home, you will be surrounded by some of the best views, and where the hosts will go out of their way to help you. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling, and so were the dinners, homecooked by Saman’s family. We also highly recommend taking a cooking class at the homestay with Saman’s family. This was definitely one of our highlights, as we got to know the family, learn more about Sri Lankan cooking while preparing 5 different curries, and finally enjoy a dinner with our hosts after many hours of cooking and laughter with the family. The entire experience is worth more than what you pay for, and the family will really make your stay unforgettable. Book your stay here, you will not regret it.

Exceptionally clean and modern room for a given price. Shower with a door, enough towels, toiletries and beautiful view if you wake up early enough before a mist comes. The lady who takes care of the facilities is very kind, gave me a lot of tips of how to move around and organised a tuktuk tour for the morning. Also she cooks delicious rice and curry. Highly recommend staying here.

Mountain Paradise Bliss occupies the upper floors of Nilowin Glenanore guesthouse (managed by another member of the same family). It has a quiet location on the edge of a tea estate near Adisham monastery, about 3km from Haputale town. The rooms are large, modern and well-equipped, with private bathrooms. The balconies have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Tasty local meals are available. Shan and his wife Piyumi are charming young professional hosts who can arrange excursions and hikes (including Horton Plains, Lipton’s Seat, Ella, Pekoe Trail). I loved the location, wich is close to the city center, but at the same time quiet and with an amazing view. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony to sit on and enjoy the view of the hills and valley. My son slept so well. Better than anywhere before in Sri Lanka. Very soft warm blankets and cushions. Musquito nets. Hot shower.

Beautiful view with convenient seating in the courtyard. Very quiet and peaceful. Owner has sweet kids and a very friendly wife. I could wash my clothes there for a small fee. Perfectly located on a quiet side street next to an old church. Wonderful charming colonial building, 150 years old (guest house) Walking distance to the centre of town. Nice restaurants and a Buddhist temple nearby. I liked my spacious bathroom a lot. It was very clean. WiFi was also good. I felt very comfortable at this place and could relax very much.
