The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. The staff was amazing. He was really helping and welcoming and always with a smile. He helped us with everything: took us to Pidurangala rock, and the Golden Buda. He also offered himself to look after our luggage while we were visiting Dambulla. The guest house is amazing. The location is perfect, really quiet and in the middle of the nature, perfect for relaxing and escape from the crowds. Amazing breakfast included.. I truly recommend it.

We stayed in this lovely home for two nights and I think that this was my favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The rooms are simple but have everything that you need and have a lovely terrace within the beautiful gardens. But best of all is the food. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and we were served a selection of home cooked, Sri Lankan treats that were delicious. All together a fabulous experience that I’d happily pay more for.

Our stay here was truly exceptional! The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and provided a comfortable and relaxing space. The hosts were outstanding, always ready to assist with anything we needed—from arranging a safari and transportation to helping with train bookings. They even took the time to teach us how to prepare Kottu Roti, which made our stay even more unique and special. The family’s dog was a lovely addition, adding to the welcoming and homely atmosphere. Breakfast was a standout feature, feeling like something out of a high-end restaurant. From the freshly baked bread and flavorful curries to the vibrant selection of fruits, every detail was carefully thought out. It was, without a doubt, the best breakfast we had during our time in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to the area!

Sunanda was a super friendly host. The place is very calm, behind his spice & herb garden and right next to the jungle. There are a lot of Birds and Butterflies, sometimes Giant Squirrels and Monkeys but no dangerous animals. The rooms are simple but comfortable and there are moskito nets. Sunanda gave us a lot of tips and arranged a few activities for us without ever being pushy. We went on a Safari to the national Park and on Pidurangala Rock and really enjoyed those trips.

Dilani is an incerdibly wonderful host! Breakfast is amazing and the dinner we enjoyed at Jungle shades villa was incredibly good and tasty! Jungle Shades villa is in the cenre of Habarana and very close to everything. Nevertheless it is a little bit beside the main road what makes it even better! The best facilities I’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. It’s recently renovated and very fresh. The beds were really good and the outdoor seating area is calm and beautiful. It’s located in a very calm and friendly area, within walking distance to Habarana.
