The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

AMAZING !!! Best view in Sri Lanka , sit back relax, enjoying your breakfast or dinner overlooking Ella Rock, litte Adams peak and a waterfall perfect !!! Staff all wonderful and friendly, just a short stroll or a tuk tuk ride down into town. Came for one nite stayed 3. Will definitely come back to Ambiente guest house.

absolutely perfect must stay in Ella ! Great location 8 min walk into busy town and its hidden away where it’s quieter. Great terrace overlooking a stunning view. Super close to attractions like Adams peak and nine arch bridge aswell. The lovely man running this place took such good care of us , loved a chat , brought us Sri Lankan snacks and made us such a great (huge) breakfast every morning. Hoppers and coconut roti so yum! Room feels fancy 5 star hotel , comfy bed , hot water from shower. Great price Definitely can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in Ella ❤️🙏

We had an amazing stay at the On Rock homestay! The homestay is located between Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak in the jungle, so there is an amazing view! The best part about our stay was the very friendly and helpfull host Rivandu. He helped us with activities en drove us around with his tuktuk. We will miss this place and would love to come back!

The hosts are amazing, super welcoming even if they speak just a little English. The house is clean and spacious and is immersed in the jungle, still remaining few minutes from the main road. Strongly recommended !!

The owner, Asanka, met us on the road and took us to the hotel. At that moment, there was a power cut in the area and Asanka did everything to make our evening wonderful - he lit candles so that there was light, prepared tea for us and treated us to a pie. He really wanted us to be comfortable, it's very nice! Soon the electricity returned. the rooms were clean, nice neat bed, clean bathroom, shower with hot water! Each room had bottled drinking water. In the morning you can see an amazing view from the balcony - you can see the mountains, the waterfall, on the other hand you can look at the train (they don't run at night, so we slept great). There were no mosquitoes and flies! We also had a wonderful breakfast in the morning! There was tea, milk, scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jam, and a wide variety of fruits. Thank you Asanka for your concern!

I highly recommend Shining Green View Resort to anyone visiting Ella. The hospitality here is truly exceptional. The host, Mr. Gayan, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. When our travel guide unexpectedly abandoned us halfway, he stepped in,not just as a host, but as a true guide and support system for all 17 of us until we safely moved on to our next destination. Mr. Gayan, along with his dedicated worker Rooban, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful holiday and sightseeing experience in Ella. His kindness and generosity are unmatched, making him an epitome of true hospitality. Words cannot express how grateful I am—we truly need more people like him in this world. The entire team was friendly, kind, supportive, and always ready to help. The resort offers a scrumptious and generous breakfast, and we were delighted to enjoy authentic home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine at their café. The breathtaking morning views from the café made our dining experience even more special, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. I must say, the success of our retreat was in large part thanks to Mr. Gayan, Rooban, their amazing team, and the wonderful experience at Shining Green View Resort.

Very nice, cozy, with nice views room. Close to city centre 10min walk. Very clean. Owner very helpful and kind, he can take you on a tour with his tuktuk which I recommend 100%. Overall 10 out of 10
