Athula and his family are absolutely wonderful hosts. Athula takes his role as a host seriously and puts so much time and effort into ensuring his guests have an exceptional experience. One example is that we had a power outage (across the whole village) and Athula promptly got on the phone to the electricity authority to arrange for the power to be reconnected, and it was sorted within half an hour or so! He also drove me to and from town for a very reasonable rate (and initially refused payment for my last trip to the bus station until I insisted). The property is in a peaceful part of town — a little bit of a walk from the city centre but manageable. The room was impeccably clean and Athula’s family put a lot of thought into preparing the room, particularly with small (but appreciated!) details — towels folded into beautiful designs, a water bottle, etc. The air conditioning was much appreciated in Dambulla’s heat, too! The breakfast was super generous (far too much food for me!) and lovely. Athula also arranged a wonderful tuk tuk driver to take me to Sigiriya for sunrise, and on the way back the driver took me to a several other fantastic viewpoints — I really recommend the driver, he’s a lovely and reliable guy. Honestly, this place is incredible value for money and Athula is an exceptional host. I can’t recommend Green Village highly enough!

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The room was spotless, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The dinner served was absolutely delicious, with flavors that really stood out. What made the experience even better was the host—truly one of the kindest and most helpful people I've encountered. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The location is perfect, directly opposite the exit of the Dambulla Caves, making it super convenient for sightseeing. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

I was in the accommodation with Upul and his family, they are very affectionate and very good hosts, the rooms is new are very large and comfortable, the place is away from the noise but close to all the tourist spots. The food is excellent.... for me It is 100% in service and comfort, 100% recommended

Breakfast was big and delicious and the owner very helpful. The location was quite good as it is nearby Dambulla Cave Temples. The room is simple but comfortable and it has a private bathroom. Thank you very much!

Stayed here for 3 nights in total. Extremely clean with a/c. Only a short walk from the golden temple. Host is extremely accommodating. Took us to see the sunset from a viewpoint close by on our first evening there. The following morning took us to the base of pidurangala for a sunrise hike and then breakfast after. He also took us on a tour around the locality. Gave great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.

The owners were really nice. The breakfast was amazing anf the bed was super comfortable! Everything was very clean! It was the first room I felt really comfortable in (travelling for 2,5 weeks already by myself). Can‘t beat the price. It has a lovely terrace, where you can hang out. It is a bit outside of town which was perfect for me. Very close to the golden and cave temple.

When we arrived they served the best watermelon juice as a welcome treat. We tasted traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Staff is very kind and friendly. Our talks with Saliru was amazing, he answered every questions we asked. He even gave us rice recipes :) . The hotel arranged us a transportation to the cave temple and to the bus station without any charges.
