fantastic owner who contacted us pre arrival offerings pick us up as it was raining in Takayama !! also dropped us off Relly clean, superb price, great tips about where to go and eat from owner, and very Japanese style.

We had a great stay in this little ryokan run by a friendly old lady who goes out of her way to make travellers feel welcome. It's an old house with an outdoor hot spring (we had the place to ourselves!). In the evening you can have dinner in the house (various options). The breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an authentic experience in the area. You might need a car if you want to reach the ryokan easily.

1. It's quite near Takayama Nohi Bus Center - about a 10 minute walk. 2. The property is very new, so everything is clean and in working condition. 3. There's a kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, where you can eat or prepare your food. 4. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood. 5. The owners, Peng and Oscar, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were very friendly and genuinely helpful, when I had some special requests. I couldn't have asked for nicer property owners!

It is a very nice Ryokan just in the hearth of Takayama. Super specious for the Japanese standards. The host was very friendly and helpful. There is a shared kitchen and a small, but very beautiful garden.

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site.

Relaxed comfortable vibe and traditional style rooms were great. Room was big. There was a big comfortable common area with tea and coffee. All was quiet and clean. The host was very kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is excellent, being seconds from the section of cool laneway restaurants and bars, and near the morning market, river, shops, preserved streets, and most of the main sights of the town.
