This was by far my favourite stay of my Japan trip. Not only was the guest house absolutely stunning and tastefully furnished, within very close proximity to the deer park, I was welcomed so warmly and it really felt like home for the night I was there. This is more than just a guest house- this is a beautiful place to bring people from all around the world together.

I was very fortunate that there were no other guests staying in the house and I had the whole space to myself, very spacious and comfortable, and the hostess Kyoko was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place, close to Nara Deer Park.

The host was really nice, I asked to stay an extra night in the same room as I wanted to explore more of Nara and it was no problem. Comfy bed and great heating system. Bathroom was very clean and I loved the garden in the middle of the property! I really liked the location as you’re away from the crowds a little bit (not to far from Nara park though) which is nice as exploring Nara park can get a bit overwhelming with the crowds. Near a Japanese supermarket which wad fun to check out and a great Ramen restaurant!

The guesthouse was wonderful. Highlights included staff, the breakfast and a lovely little garden courtyard in the middle of the building. There are a couple of small bakeries and places to eat nearby which we really enjoyed, and wandering the neighborhood shrines was very nice. (Not touristy) although the main city shrines and deer park are a short 12 minute walk away.. Would definately recommend.

Located within Nara Park, The Deer Park Inn offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property and a chance to feed the many deer roaming around the park.

The guy at the reception was very friendly and helped me a lot! I didn't know how to use the air conditioner and he set up everything himself. He also kindly gave me an adapter as I forgot mine. The room was very nice although a bit cold for me. But with the air conditioner it was fine) I really appreciated the view on the park as I could see deer right out of my window. I also liked the common room! It's very cosy and warm.

Perfect location and so comfortable and quiet and private even though it was in the middle of everything you would want to visit with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Nice that they had a washer and dryer to use :)
