A very affordable, well located guesthouse. Although the rooms are simply furnished, all main needed are provided. Hot water is great, heating is good and beds are comfortable. There is a shared kitchen which is ideal for do it yourself breakfast. Also, they have an EV charging unit right out near the front door and you can get a good overnight charge for your car.

This Seydisfjordur Guesthouse is situated in the eastern fjords of Iceland, 25 minutes’ drive from Egilsstadir Airport. It offers free WiFi and a garden.

It had a very homey feel. There was a full kitchen with an excellent coffee machine. There were two full bathrooms and free laundry. The beds were very comfortable. We had a great view of the Harbour from our room.

The house is right outside the town of Egilsstadir, very easy to find. We were met by a very friendly owner and his two lovely dogs. He was extremely helpful and the house was truly a gem! Decorated with old-style furniture, but very cosy, clean and it has a hot tub outside with an amazing view! We wish we could have stayed longer and can definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to spend time at East Iceland!
